Our librarian introduced an interesting story
about Halloween/Hallowe'en. Why do we call the lantern
"Jack-o'-lantern" and why is it made of a pumpkin?
I am very happy to know the reason.

今日は司書の先生の来校日です。毎回素敵なお話を紹介して下さっています。今回はハロウィンでよく見かけるあの「カボチャのランタン」のお話でした。なぜカボチャなのか、なぜジャックなのか。長年ほったらかしにしていた謎がとけました！
