The 3rd annual Toride City Elementary and Junior High School Presentation Forum was held today! 14 elementary schools and 6 junior high schools of Toride City participated in the forum!

The 5th graders represented Sanno Elementary School in this year's forum! They presented about the special art program taught by the Toride Art Project! Their presentation was actually bilingual! They continued the Sanno Elementary School tradition to present in both Japanese and English!

Presentation advisors listened to all the different school's presentations. And the presentation advisor for our school commented that she was impressed hearing an English presentation! She didn't expect such a presentation!

The 5th graders appeared nervous before their turn to present, but when it was their turn to present, they were cool under pressure and made their presentation flawlessly. It was a great achievement by the Sanno 5th graders!

　今年で３回目となる「取手市プレゼンテーションフォーラム」は、
　１４の小学校と６つの中学生が参加して、本日開催されました。

　本校の５年キッズは、
　山王小の独自の取り組みについて紹介しました。
　
　紹介した取組とは、
　取手アートプロジェクトと一緒に活動している
　アートの特別授業です。

　山王小のプレゼンテーションは、
　なんとバイリンガル！！
　
　この英語と日本語でプレゼンテーションをするという形式は、
　もはや、山王小の伝統になりましたね。

　プレゼンテーションのアドバイザーの方は、
　すべての学校の発表を聞いてくださいます。
　その方は、山王小のバイリンガルの発表（特に英語）を聞いて
　とっても感動した！とコメントをくださいました。

　山王小のような発表は、予想外でうれしかったようです。


　発表前には、さすがに緊張気味だった５年キッズですが、
　発表の出番がくると、落ち着いて
　何事もなかったように、かっこよく！発表していました。

　本当によくがんばりました！

There is only a couple of months left for the 6th graders' elementary school life! In English class, they reflected on their best and worst memories of their elementary school life. In groups, they made a skit to role-play their 10 year reunion party! In their skits, they role-played their future selves and talked about their best elementary school memories!

They said it was hard to imagine themselves 10 years later, but they had many good memories (especially their school trip and sports day) at Sanno Elementary School.

　６年キッズにとっては、
　小学校生活も残りわずかとなってしまいました！

　英語の学習では、小学校生活の中での、
　最高の思い出と、ちょっと残念な思い出を振り返っています。

　そこで、「１０年後に再会した」という設定（同窓会？）で、
　山王小での最高の思い出を語り合う
　ロールプレイをすることにしました。

　１０年後って、、、
　キッズには想像することがとてもむずかしそうでした。

　でも、
　山王小での楽しい思い出は、
　次から次へとたくさん出てくるのでした。



　

　南岸低気圧の発生と寒気の流れ込みにより、今夜から明朝にかけての降雪が心配される中、山王小の先生達は、子供たちへのよりよい授業づくりに向けての校内研修を行っています。子供たちの力が少しでも向上するよう、頑張れ！山王小の先生達！

Today the 5th graders made some new friends all the way from Hitachi city in Northern Ibaraki through online video meeting! The 5th graders chatted with fellow 5th graders from Hitachi city. They introduced themselves and ask many questions to get to know the Hitachi city students. The 5th graders will get to meet them again later this month!

After today's online meeting, the Sanno 5th graders said they were nervous and a bit tired, but it was interesting to meet other 5th graders from a completely different city!

　５年キッズは、茨城県の北部にある
　日立市に通う５年生と、リモートで交流しました。

　新しい仲間になった日立市の５年キッズと
　さっそくおしゃべり（もちろん、英語で！）しました。

　日立市の５年キッズに質問をしたり、
　自分たちのことを紹介したりできました。

　これから、さらに仲良くなれると思います。

　今日のリモートでの出会いのあと、
　山王５年キッズは、

　「緊張して、つかれた〜、、、」

　「でも！！　違う市の５年キッズと知り合いになれて
　　うれしかった！　たのしかった！！！」と

　感想を伝え合っていました。

　ステキな出会いが、またひとつ。
　よかったね。
