2nd graders enjoyed the story this morning. That was
Momotaro, Peach Boy. The students knew the outline
of the story but the librarian introduced a little
different story. They were surprised to know a variety
of Momotaro stories. The librarian also introduced
an interesting book about Onigashima, Demon Island.
The students got interested in the story about Demon
Island after Peach Boy left.

* Let me apologize the mistake in the webpage which
was updated on May 20th. I used "swallow" but I
should have used "sparrow". The one-leg bird was
a sparrow, not a swallow.
By the way, the swallows which dwell under the porch
are ready to leave Ishida. We hope that we can meet
them next year.

Every Thursday morning, students read their favorite
books and they have another fun event about a book.
The librarian visits one class and does storytelling.
She chose a book written by Muku Hatoju about 70
years ago and it was a story about a one-leg swallow.

One day a man found a swallow’s nest under the eaves.
He watched it intently but the bird had to have some
hard times. The last and powerful enemy was a snake.
She defended her three chicks from the snake and the
man was encouraged at her courage.

The librarian introduces a good book to the students
every time. We really hope that each student can come
across good books for their whole lives. We will keep
having a wonderful time and a good opportunity
during their school days for that.

Rain makes young plants and buds more vigorous. They are shining in the beautiful morning sun light. Eggplants, cucumbers, sponge cucumbers, potatoes, green peppers... they are so cute! May all of them grow without any fears of bugs or disease.

今年度の運動会は、地域の皆様、ご来賓の皆様にもご来場いただき、ご声援をいただいております。（参観にあたっては検温をさせていただきました。）全員でラジオ体操を行いました。早速、心地よい汗をかくことができました。

予定していた全ての競技を無事に終えることができました。
昨年以上の種目を実施できたこと、保護者の皆様にもご参加頂く種目が実施できたこと、保護者の皆様・地域の皆様・ご来賓の皆様から温かいご声援を頂けたこと、そして子どもたちがのびのびと笑顔いっぱい・元気いっぱいの運動会を実施できたこと、心より感謝申し上げます。
ご来校いただきました皆様には、検温とマスクの着用、間隔を設けての観戦と、新型コロナウイルス感染防止のための措置にご理解とご協力をいただきましたことにも、重ねて御礼申し上げます。
また、今回の運動会の開催にあたり、石田ふるさと振興会の皆様には、草刈り等のお力添えをいただきました。地域の皆様に支えていただき、今日の素晴らしい運動会を開催することができました。
子どもたちにとって、これまで練習してきたことを発揮したり、たくさんの方から声援をいただく機会を経験したりすることは、達成感や充実感、自信、感謝の気持ちなどに気づくことができる、大切な機会となります。私たちは、子どもたちが持てる力を発揮できる場、可能性に挑戦できる場を、今後も創意工夫しながら設けていきたいと思います。引き続き、ご支援・ご協力をお願いいたします。
本日は本当にありがとうございました。

運動会最後の種目は、全校リレーです。最後まで目の離せない、見応えのある勝負でした。互いの健闘を称え合い、拍手を送る子どもたちの姿に、参観していた皆様からも大きな拍手が送られました。

親子で実施する「親子でタイフーン」。親子でバーの両端を持ってコーンを回って次の親子にパスします。子に引っ張られる親あり、親に引っ張られる子あり、と元気、本気、根気いっぱいの競技となりました。お疲れ様でした。

玉入れは、子どもたちの部と保護者の部に分かれて行いました。玉入れは通常、どのぐらい入るものなのでしょうか？保護者の部で、紅組のかごに入っていたのは、何と113個でした。保護者の皆様、肩の具合はいかがですか？

いよいよ競技開始です。徒競走、紅白大玉転がし、借り物競走と、時折吹くやや強めの風で多少のハプニングに見舞われながらも、楽しく、元気いっぱいの子どもたちです。

今年の運動会スローガンの発表です。
「14人で　パワー全開！　笑顔いっぱい石田っ子」です。
みんなの笑顔と頑張りは、きっと大きなパワーを与えてくれます。
校庭に響く歓声と拍手がそれを物語っています。

いよいよ運動会が始まりました。入場行進に引き続いて行われたのは、ダンスです。昨年ヒットしたあのアニメの曲に合わせてのダンスは、動きにキレがあり、見応え十分でした。

子どもたちの準備も完了しました。青空の下、心地よい皐月の風に吹かれて、元気一杯の姿を届けましょう！

保護者の皆様のお力添えをいただき、会場の準備を行いました。テントの設営が終わってからは、保護者の皆様と本校職員との運営打ち合わせです。保護者の皆様のお力添え、本当にありがとうございます。

We are ready to have our "Sports Day 2021" on May 16th.Every student and school staff prepared tables, chairs and others in the 5th period. After the students left school, some parents came and pitched tents. We appreciate their great help.

Thank you for visiting our webpage. We want everyone who wants to know about Ishida Elementary School to introduce our school life. We have 14 students and 12 school staff. Some of you may think our school size is very small but this does not mean that our potentiality or possibility is also limited. We believe that we can improve our students’ curiosity and ability. We have great supporters such as the parents, inhabitants of Ishida Area, Date City Board of Education and so on. Their supports and understandings have encouraged us for many years. We shall keep doing our best for the future of the students.
