1年生は陶芸の仕上げをしています。焼き上がりは2月になります。楽しみですね。

１年生が、英語の時間に「取手二中紹介」を書きましたので、一部を紹介します。約９か月で、ここまで書けるようになりました。
Our first grade students introduced Toride Second Junior High School in English class. We are very happy to see their improvements in 9 months.




Our school is in Toride city, Japan.
It’s 66 years old now.
We have 530 students and 38 teachers.

School Events
We have fun events. We enjoy our chorus contest. Our school’s Sports Day is very exciting, but this year we didn’t have it. It needs very hard practice, but it’s very exciting for us.

Club Activities
We have about 10 clubs here. Every club is strong and very fun. We enjoy sports every year.

We have a karate club in our school. The karate club is famous.
The karate club went to the national convention. If you want to do karate, please join us.
We do karate in P.E. class, too. It’s difficult, but it’s very fun.

We enjoy volleyball club.
We have 20 students and 3 teachers.

Our school has a tennis team. We have about 30 members and 2 teachers. We practice tennis after school. It’s difficult, but it’s fun.

I’m in the table tennis club. Our team is the strongest in Toride city. Our team has many members.

I’m in the brass band. We didn’t have a contest (as a whole band) this year, but we practice hard.
We won the first prize at the ensemble concert.

I’m in the basketball club. Basketball is very interesting, but it’s difficult. We practice basketball very hard. Our members are good friends.

I’m in the art club. I like drawing. I draw anime characters.

Studying / Teachers
We had mid-terms on November 30. The mid-terms were difficult. I was nervous.
We enjoy classes every day because our teachers have humor and they’re nice.
I like math. My math teacher is interesting! The teacher is special.
All of our teachers are very kind. They teach well. Their classes are interesting.
My favorite subject is English. We enjoy studying every day. We love English.

Sakura
There are many cherry blossom trees at my school.
They are very big and bloom beautifully.

Class competition
We have the class competition on December 17. We practice a relay race. It’s not easy, but it’s fun.

School Festival
We have Shorai-sai in October. It was the first school event for us.
Each class sings different songs. We sang “A Page of Youth.” The students of 1-5 sang “Yume o Oikakete.” We practiced for the contest in music class.
We also have some stage performances. They are very interesting.

School Lunch
Our school lunch is delicious. So we are excited during lunch time. Our school lunch has a lot of variety. My favorite school lunch is Japanese fried chicken. Curry is popular, too. Do you like curry, too?
We love our school lunch. Lunch time is very fun.
I look forward to lunch every day. Oh, I’m hungry now.

　今日は，来週１７日に行われるクラス対抗クラスマッチの練習をしました。どのクラスも一生懸命に練習する姿が見られました。各クラス８の字跳びは回数が増え，リレーではタイムが上がっています。本番が楽しみです。

　今日はとても天気が良く暖かかったです。どの学年も体育の授業では，リレーと８の字飛びの練習をしています。各学級声を掛け合いながら，頑張っている姿が見られました。

1年生の音楽の授業では、長く親しまれている日本の歌を学習しています。今年は、合唱の授業を実施することが難しいので、その分ひとりひとりの歌唱の力を伸ばすために、ピアノの伴奏つきで発表を行っています。どのクラスも広い音楽室に一人で立ち、堂々と「赤とんぼ」を歌っていました。

１年生の体育は空手道を行っています。
今日は，「突き」の確認をした後，「足の運び方」や「受け」の学習をしました。
最終的には「基本型」の演武を行います。
