Today’s story was about a French man who loved to
perform on the tightrope between tall buildings
without permission.
One day he watched two skyscrapers in New York.
He wanted to perform on the tightrope between them.
His friends helped him and he could start walking.
Police officers tried to stop him but he enjoyed a lot
and could finish his performance.
He was taken to the police station but the judgement
was to show his performance for children in a park.
He did it willingly.

今日、学校司書の先生が紹介してくださったのは、綱渡りが大好きな、実在する大道芸人のお話です。ニューヨークにそびえていた超高層ビル間に渡した綱の上で様々なパフォーマンスを繰り広げ、綱渡りを存分に楽しんだあとは、おまわりさんに連れて行かれ・・・。その後、裁判所の決定は子どもたちのために公園で綱渡りのパフォーマンスをすることだったそうです。
